BATechnical Maintenance of Aircraft Transport

Baltic Center Registration Fee Includes:
– Consultations for selection of HEI
– Migration & visa consultation
– Registration in the Baltic Center database
HEI admission documents’ check
– General testing for all Baltic Center HEIs – Admission Examination
– Student’s admission to HEI, maximum 3 registrations per one fee.
& In case of HEI change at the request of a student, after the admission letter receiving from HEI, a transfer to another HEI is for an extra cost.
– Documents’ arrangement for the payments to HEI
– Bonus – on the written application of a student, preparation and transfer of the invitation for the embassy.
& The period of preparation from week to two months

Overview

As a result of studies, the students will obtain appropriate:

Knowledge:

organisation of aircraft operation, and the respective regulatory documentation;
aerodynamics, structure of aircrafts and their systems, aircraft engines and systems ensuring their work;
the fundamentals of the Aviation Materials Science, preventive maintenance and diagnostics of aviation equipment;
contemporary digital technologies and electronics;
general education disciplines (Mathematics, Physics, Aviation Legislation, Human Factor and Environmental Protection, Human Resource Management, etc).
Skills:

aircraft maintenance;
use of instrumentation in structural health monitoring;
independent work with technical documentation;
use of professional English.
Competence:

technical checking procedures in accordance with the maintenance regulations;
fulfilment of aircraft maintenance works;
use of the contemporary computer technologies;
development and creative use of the obtained knowledge;
continuation of studies under the Bachelor’s programme;
communication in professional associations, including international.

Career opportunities

Upon completion of studies, graduates will obtain a state-recognised diploma of the first-level professional higher education and a professional qualification. In the course of studies, the students have the right to sit qualifying examinations in the respective modules of the programme Part-66 (Category B1 Technician-Mechanic or Category B2 Avionics Technician). Practical training is conducted on the basis of the Institute’s facilities and at the aviation companies in Latvia and abroad.

Graduates of the programme may work as aircraft maintenance mechanics and technicians in the organisations using aviation equipment or carrying out aircraft maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the state standard and international regulatory enactments in the field of air transport as well as at repair companies and in other fields of the aeronautical industry.
