Overview
The program aims at providing fundamentals in linguistics and literary theory, developing communication abilities in Polish (C1-C2), understanding about Polish culture and ability to analyze and evaluate the phenomena of Polish language and literature in a broader linguistic and literary context, as well as abilities of critical thinking, independent learning, communication and cooperation in a multicultural environment. During practical training at the University and professional practice period students will acquire the basic skills of editing, translation and/or interpretation, teaching Polish as a foreign language, culture dissemination (e.g., tour guide) or research.
Career opportunities
Access to further studies – Bachelors in Polish Philology may enroll in Master studies in the humanities and social sciences.
Employability – A graduate can work as an interpreter/translator, personal assistant, editor in various cultural, educational and publishing institutions, in mass media where good Polish language knowledge and skills are required.
