Entry qualification

High school / secondary education (or higher) Please provide the secondary school leaving certificate in the original language. If the diploma is not issued in English, a certified translation should be provided. The document must be legalised/apostilled. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. It is necessary to have notarized certified documents translated, legalized and apostilled. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. We accept only officially translated documents. Territory requirements	Applications are NOT accepted from the following territories (based on citizenship): Bangladesh, Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen.

Language requirements	English One of next variants, if you have no any of this certificates you can pass University or Baltic Center Exams: Accepted proof of proficiency: FCE or CAE, IELTS 5.5+ or TOEFL 69+ Must be able to present good English knowledge (minimum – CEFR level B2, IELTS score 5.5, TOEFL score 520, TOEFL-iBT score 68 ). An online interview will be organised, if you can not provide any certificate.

Other requirements	Applicants must have at least “satisfactory” grade in Mathematics and need to pass an online entrance test in biology.

Overview

The goal of this programme is to train academically well-educated agricultural professionals who are capable to assess the importance of sustainable agricultural production and its environmental integrity and to use information technologies and modern scientific knowledge to improve production technologies in the sector.

There is an opportunity to specialize in 2 directions:

sustainable plant production;
sustainable animal production.

Career opportunities

The graduates are able to evaluate the material and economic suitability of the respective production technologies, to estimate the quality and ecological significance of the obtained products, to use the possibilities of modern information technologies, as well as to evaluate the unity of production and environment in sustainable agricultural production.

Bachelor’s degree entitles graduates to continue studies at Master’s degree level in Latvia or abroad.
