Overview
Upon the completion of the study programme, graduates will be able to:
- define modern agronomic research methods and know the theoretical aspects of counselling methodology;
- apply theoretical and practical knowledge of agronomy for solving scientific problems in the field of agriculture;
- understand optimization opportunities of plant physiological indicators by choosing technologies and other factors;
- plan and conduct research, formulate scientific problems;
- predict the ways of its solution, evaluate and interpret results, provide consultations in the field of agriculture, analyse and evaluate elements of plant productivity and factors affecting production quality, prognosticate and model productivity of plants, choose and apply the methods of plant propagation.

General subjects: European Union Agricultural Policy and Law, Methodology of Extension, Experimental Design and Analysis, Information Technology in Agriculture, Impact of Agricultural Activities on Environment, Integrated Pest Management, Agrobiological Potential of Plants, Biology and Fertility of Soil, Plant Nutrition Physiology, Bioeconomy, Master theses.
Specializations:
Crop Production: Innovations in Crop Production, Alternative Crop Science, Agroecosystem Sustainability, Purposive Plant Breeding and Seed Production.
Plant Protection and Nutrition: Plant Pathology, Plant Parasitology, Management of Weed and Crop Competition, Fertilization Systems and Their Management, Development of Resistant Plants by Biotechnological Methods.
Horticulture: Biological Basics of Productivity of Horticultural Plants, Intensive Fruit Growing, Pest Management in Orchards and Olericulture, Orchard and Garden Plant Nutrition.
Students, who are willing to study in other European universities, have possibility to go on exchange studies or traineeship abroad for one semester at 90 European universities (ex.
