Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) Applicants for Master degree studies are required to have completed Bachelor degree of Nature sciences in Optometry or higher professional education in Optometry comprising at least 3 years of full time studies providing access to Master’s level study programmes. Applicants whose previous education is not in the field of Optometry or related sciences must take additional preparatory courses. The entry qualification documents are accepted in any languages (issued in or officially translated along with verified copies) You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. Please provide bachelor’s diploma (for master studies) or master’s diploma (for doctoral studies) in the original language. If the diploma is not issued in English, a certified translation should be provided. The document must be legalised/apostilled |

Overview
This programme is based on studies of natural sciences, medicine and basic principles of primary eye care service. Professional Master programme is the second step in professional optometrist education scheme in Latvia. The program offers extensive profile studies of natural sciences including organic chemistry, biology, calculus, physics, medical courses including human anatomy and physiology, pathology, microbiology, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology of the eye, physiology of vision, specific courses in optometry – optics, geometrical optics, ophthalmic optics, optometric instruments, refractive defects, binocular vision and other.
