Overview
The aim of the Polish language and literature pedagogy program is to prepare highly qualified pedagogues for basic and secondary education with fundamental knowledge of Polish philology, who, based on the acquired intercultural, professional, general and personal competencies, would be able to ensure quality education, create various learning opportunities, develop students’ and their own competencies, be able to guide the acquired competencies in independent educational activities, other activities requiring knowledge of the Polish language and culture, and further learning.
Programme structure
Students will be able to:
- create the content of education at various levels of education on the basis of theoretical, practical and didactic knowledge of Polish philology;
- plan, organize, manage the educational process and carry out other activities related to the knowledge of the Polish language and knowledge of Polish culture and literature in Lithuanian evironmend.
- analyze, systematize, critically evaluate information;
- present a business idea or opinion, to argue a decision or research results in oral and / or written form in Polish and another foreign language.
- plan, organize, carry out and summarize activities and research in the fields of Polish philology and educational sciences.
- operate and learn collaboratively in the community of the institution, in groups of learners and in other settings.
- take responsibility for the quality of the professional process.
Career opportunities
Graduates will be able to continue their studies in master’s programs in education or the humanities. Graduates of the program will be ready for pedagogical work. They will be able to find employment:
- in general education schools, other educational institutions,
- in state, public and private organizations related to the Polish language, literature and culture, as well as linguistic and cultural education,
- in Polish media editorial office in Lithuania and abroad.
