Overview

Completing this specialization gives you the opportunity to learn about accounting services and to audit financial statements of domestic and foreign companies based on the International Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards.

The aim of the specialization is also to develop the ability to influence the effectiveness of enterprise management through planning economic events, their audit, control and management.

Programme structure

The first year of studies is dominated by courses which, regardless of the chosen field of study, will provide broad horizons of thinking and understanding of the concepts and basic issues in a given field of study. As a result, you will gain knowledge and skills that will help you find yourself in many different professions and prepare to undertake interdisciplinary projects, which is particularly important and valued on the labour market today. From the second semester, the courses introduce more and more detailed content specific to the selected field of study.

In the second year of studies, courses focused on a selected field of study are introduced to the curriculum. They allow you to deepen your knowledge and acquire competences necessary to understand and use knowledge in the field of finance and accounting in various spheres of economic activity.

In the third year of studies, you can choose courses in the field of accounting, auditing and controlling to gain specialist preparation in this field. In each semester, you can choose 4 out of 6 specialty courses.

Completing the specialization creates broad prospects for shaping your own career, both in the private and public sector, and also makes it easier to find a job in financial and accounting departments of enterprises and other institutions or organizations.
