The aim of the programme is to prepare highly qualified and competitive managers of tourism and hospitality organisations to work in the industry in Latvia and abroad, with a special focus on personal development of the student, as well as on strengthening physical stamina and career development based on modern and professional education in the creative field of leisure, travel and event management.
Programme structure
TRAVELING DURING STUDIES
The majority of students study at least one semester at cooperation universities in one of 97 universities in 41 countries or go on summer internships and study tours abroad.
CUSTOMIZED STUDY CONTENT
Every year it is improved according to the development of the industry. The training uses the latest methods and technologies that meet the requirements of the digital age. Several courses in the study program are taught by foreign guest lecturers.
FOREIGN LANGUAGES
The only tourism study program where it is possible to study Chinese throughout the study period. It is also possible to learn Russian, German and French.
PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE
Students work in real projects. Researches tourism resources and infrastructure, develops enterprise and territory development plans, organizes various events, creates information about tourism products in the virtual environment, participates in management simulation games.
CLOSE COOPERATION WITH THE INDUSTRY
In many study courses, according to the specialization of the topic, the leading professionals of the industry are involved as guest lecturers.
DEVELOPING YOUR INTERESTS
The opportunity to specialize in areas of interest – representation of the tourist destination on Instagram, gastronomic tourism opportunities, the impact of various events and art centers on the tourism and hospitality industry, research into the car tourism segment, etc.

Every year, the number of people traveling is increasing, and the number of people employed in tourism-related industries is increasing along with the number of tourists.

Hiking in nature with elements of active tourism (bicycle, boat, foot), integrated field practice, study tours in Latvia and abroad.
