Overview

This programme is aimed to provide students with innovative knowledge in pedagogy, psychology, information technologies, Home Economics and with creative skills in design, visual art and nutrition, textile or wood/metal technologies. The programme consists of compulsory courses, elective courses and practical training, which give you:

analytical skills and knowledge to understand the educational process in general, as well as preschool, interest related and adult education;
the opportunity to develop abilities to organize the teaching/learning process;
the opportunity to develop relations with pupils, their parents and colleagues in the practical training;
the opportunity to develop abilities to analyse and evaluate pupils’ progress and self-performance in practical training;
the opportunity to develop research skills in the field of education.

Programme structure

The full-time Bachelor’s degree programme covers 4 academic years providing you with knowledge in Pedagogy and Educational Psychology, Information Technologies in Education, professional skills and abilities in Methodology of Home Economics and Information Technologies or Visual Art, professional specialization in Design, Nutrition, Technologies of Textiles or Wood/Metal Processing, Visual Art or Informatics. This programme is completed with the elaboration and defence of a Bachelor’s thesis.

Career opportunities

Graduates may work as: teachers, extra-curricular work organizers, professional counsellors, computer technicians or visual art specialists in general education schools and other educational institutions; deputy principals, methodologists, managers in children/youth interest-related educational institutions; project coordinators, consultants, IT or visual art specialists in adult interest and further education centres and companies; specialists of informatics or visual art and Home Environment in all types of educational institutions and companies. Graduates may continue the studies in Master’s degree study programmes related to the field of education (pedagogy, career counsellor, educational leadership) and social sciences.
