Overview

A doctorate student should pass five examinations (30 ECTS), during the first two years of study. Study module Methodology of scientific work (6 ECTS) and modules of date management and statistical analysis (Biostatistics, Geostatistics or Ecoinformatics depending on the research subject, 6 ECTS) are required for all students. Remaining study modules (18 ECTS) should be chosen according to the research subject and approved by scientific supervisor. The main part of the study program is an independent research project which results in the doctoral thesis. At least two peer-reviewed research papers should be published (accepted for publication) in international scientific journals before the defence of the doctoral thesis.
