Resumen
Visual Theatre is the form of a drama theatre that has emerged at the intersection of 20th and 21st centuries bringing together the experience of drama theatre and visual art. In the visual theatre the action on the stage is created by combining actors’ acting, scenography, costumes, lights, music, text and media into a single theatrical and ever-changing image that aims to develop the act of the play on the stage. Actor’s means of expression in such a theatre are based on motion – pantomime, acrobatics, dance, singing, playing a musical instrument, etc. This creates a distinctive theatrical visual language – an artistic expression that usually does not require translation – it is universal, crossing the borders of countries, cultural and linguistic barriers.
