Обзор
The main goal of the study programme is to develop the research skills in the sphere of the Russian and Slavic philology with the in-depth studying of the Russian language, literature and culture. Students are encouraged to improve their practical skills in translation and interpreting, in project writing and management, in textology and editorial work. Moreover, the students will get an opportunity to work with unique local materials (theatre archives, archives of periodicals, etc). In addition, the students will be able to acquire the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The programme envisages students’ mobility within the framework of Erasmus in the institutions of higher education of Estonia (Tartu and Tallinn Universities), Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Germany, and many others. After successful completion of the programme, graduates may pursue to continue their academic research in various PhD programmes.

The MA degree in Russian Philology enables the graduates to have a number of job opportunities at institutions of secondary and higher education, the EU structures, non-governmental organizations, the publishing industry, mass media, translation centres, etc.
