Обзор
The aim of the fashion design study program is to prepare a highly qualified fashion design specialist who sees trends and market needs, knows the principles of visual expression, harmony of style elements, clothing design and sustainability, is able to apply theoretical and technological knowledge to create quality fashion design products; to organize and manage the creative process, working in the national and international context and able to independently develop or work in interdisciplinary teams, reflect and adequately evaluate the results of their professional activities, apply entrepreneurial skills, taking into account the needs of society and taking responsibility for professional results.
Graduates of the Fashion Design study program and obtaining a professional bachelor’s degree in arts have the ability to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in their individual creative practical, project activities and can provide various style and fashion design services while working in Lithuanian and international clothing and textile companies, fashion houses, in creative and production companies, advertising agencies, television, theater, fashion and other publications, to cooperate with representatives of clothing retail chains and individual stores, to carry out individual activities.

They will know and be familiar with the historical development of design, costumology, aspects and trends of contemporary fashion and will be able to apply it in the creation of relevant fashion design projects and objects.
They will know the means and methods of visual expression, they will know the functionality of fashion design and the opportunities dictated by technological development, they will know the safety requirements and be able to apply it when creating relevant fashion design projects and objects.
You will have knowledge about intellectual property, copyright protection, business management, communication, you will be able to apply the knowledge when organizing and executing fashion design projects.
Critically evaluating current fashion design phenomena and trends, you will be able to collect, compare, analyze and systematize the necessary information, conduct design research, draw conclusions and generate creative ideas implemented in the context of fashion design based on them.
Will be able to purposefully choose visual means and methods of expression, apply them when conveying content ideas, forming images and designing clothing collections.
Will be able to adequately select fabrics and accessories, construction and modeling methodologies and sewing technologies to implement the project. Will be able to purposefully choose optimal solution methods and means of realization in order to maximally reveal the concept, aesthetics, personal creativity, artistry and technical completeness of the projects.
Using the available knowledge, you will be able to design stylish clothing collections, organize their presentation to a special audience and the general public. They will be able to perceive, evaluate and create an artistic concept, they will master the means of visual communication, they will learn to present the essence of a creative idea.
Will be able, using professional knowledge, to convey ideas and ideas in a clear and reasoned way, to present fashion design products created by him to colleagues, business partners, and customers. Will be able to communicate and cooperate in a multicultural context. Will be able to take responsibility for the quality of his and his team’s professional activities, work in a team and individually, following professional ethics, norms of intellectual property protection, business planning models, own responsibility and citizenship.
Will rationally and purposefully apply entrepreneurial skills in practical activities, develop critical thinking, realize the importance of personal initiative and independence, realizing creative ideas in fashion design projects, perceive the object of fashion design as a part of common visual culture. Will be able to evaluate the impact of professional results on economic, cultural development and society.
Using the acquired knowledge and skills, you will be able to reflect, professionally plan your activities, integrate into the professional fashion design community and continue to improve and learn, strategically improve your professional activities.
