Overview

The Latvian Academy of Sports Pedagogics (LASP) is the state higher educational institution which carries out the accredited programs of training to train certified specialists for work in institutions and the organizations of education, sport, and also in the state and municipal organizations and enterprise societies. Students gain the knowledge, skills necessary to direct and organize activity in the field of education, sport, strengthening of health and other kinds of activity, and also the following qualifications: the teacher of sport (physical culture), the senior trainer by the form sport, the head in the field of sport, the specialist in a recreation, the physiotherapist.

For 90 years of existence the Latvian academy of sports pedagogics trained more than 10 000 experts in the field of sport.
