Overview

The Materials Physics and Nanotechnology programme is designed for students who have an interest in and an aptitude for both technological sciences and physics. This is a unique bidirectional undergraduate study programme in English. The programme provides students with a fundamental knowledge of physics, an understanding of technologies, technological design, together with problem-solving skills, and is aimed to address the needs of students seeking innovative careers in today’s technological age.
Top reasons to study at KTU:
1. As the program emphasizes science, mathematics and technologies, students are well prepared to pursue graduate work in either technological field or physics.
2. Visiting professors from Stanford University, University of Southern Denmark and experts from industry organize international seminars and workshops to be in touch with global scientific solutions.
3. Besides training laboratories at the faculty, the latest and most advanced equipment installed in KTU science and business valley “Santaka“ is used during the study process.
4. Researches show that in year 2025 the demand for specialists with multidisciplinary knowledge and skills will grow up to 25% in Lithuania, whereas 3,6 million jobs will be created in EU.
